Debian-installer-version: netboot image from /debian/dists/sarge/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot on 2004-03-15 Kernel: Linux snoopy 2.4.25-1-386 Thu Feb 24 08:11:13 CET 2004 i686 Date: 2003-11-12 9:30p Method: netboot via GRUB Machine: Digital PC 5010 Processor: Intel Pentium II 233 MHZ Memory: 128MB Root Device: / Root Size/partition table: n/a Output of lspci: n/a Trying to retrieve files/packages while the installation procedure with netboot or floppyboot. The files should be retrieved over an ISA Proxy (Microsoft) where it is necessery to authenticate before accessing the internet. Before I choose the mirror for the debian-archive the installation procedure prompts for the HTTP-Proxy. My input is as follows: http://ms-domain\\domainuser:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:8080 After choosing stable|testing|unstable it jumps back to the installation menu without retrieving any file. It seems the script in the background doesn't handle the authentication credentials for the proxy correctly. To be sure there is no network problem I tested it with five different network cards (3 x 21143, 1 3C905 and 1 Intel Etherpro 100). I tried also to set the environment like export http_proxy=http://ms-domain\\domainuser:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:8080 but without success. Does anybody knows a workaround? Maybe which script I have to modify manually? I would be grateful if someone have any ideas how to solve it. Because I am working on this issue for four weeks now and so I don't think it will be fixed very soon.
