Retested with 100MB i386 netinst CD (20040417) Unfortunately the contents of my old lilo.conf are still not included in the new GRUB. From /var/log/debian-installer/package-versions: os-prober 0.06 From /var/log/debian-installer/syslog: linux-boot-prober: info: found boot partition /dev/discs/disc0/part1 for linux system on /dev/discs/disc0/part5 linux-boot-prober: info: found boot partition /dev/discs/disc0/part1 for linux system on /dev/discs/disc0/part5 The created menu.lst is attached. The old lilo.conf is unchanged from earlier tests. FJP
