Didn't find anything to write the logs on a floppy. So I looked at the 3rd and 4th virtual console. 3rd console: the last message was just telling that detecting and mounting the CDROM and also mounting the partitions was ok. 4th console: simple information that the log level was shanging. No error message. I went to see in /var/log/debootstrap.err.log. Here is what it says: id: unknown user name: 0 [: 0: unknown operand printf: No such file or directory That's all I got. I'm moving to woody. Maybe starting with a "testing" version as sarge was too much.
