yes - i put the bootable flag. the root partition is an extended
partition, /dev/hda8.
Ah, I think this is it. As far as I know, only primary partitions are
allowed to be bootable. I cannot currently test if this is true,
though.
no - actually it was showing the error message, but when i ignored it,
it worked. my kernel-image is on /dev/hda8. (i don't have a separate
boot-partition)
