Maybe you could upgrade to 2.6.5 ? I guess Sarge has packages for
2.6.5 already. Could you check and test the new ones ?
I'm new to Debian -- how do you upgrade the kernel? Do
I need to rerun GRUB or something afterwards?
Upgrade to 2.6.6 from http://people.debian.org/~herbert/sid/
wget http://people.debian.org/~herbert/sid/kernel-headers-2.6.6-1-686_2.6.6-1_i386.deb
wget http://people.debian.org/~herbert/sid/kernel-image-2.6-686_2.6.6-1_i386.deb
wget http://people.debian.org/~herbert/sid/kernel-kbuild-2.6-3_2.6.6-1_i386.deb
dpkg -i *.deb
update-grub should update the GRUB menu.
Will this procedure preserve the 2.6.3 kernel, in case 2.6.6 doesn't
boot at all?
