Hi,

I've installed sarge yesterday from beta4 (and already submitted an
installation report). Now I've found another problem about the generated
fstab: it isn't ordered correctly.

In particular at installation time I choose to have a partition for /home
and two other for /home/students and /home/staff (I'm doing this
installation for a school).

The resulting fstab had the second two before "/home" itself, thus
causing mount to complain that their mount moint was non-existent and
actually not mounting them.

This may depend on the fact that /home resides on the second raid disc
provided by the controller (/dev/cciss/c0d1) while the other two reside
on the first one (/dev/cciss/c0d0) (or, at installation time
/dev/cciss/disc1 and /dev/cciss/disc0)

Anyway the installer component that generates the fstab should take care
that the order respects the filesystem hierarchy, before anything else!

Thanks,

Guido
