Hi Martin, Once again thanks for your help. I may not be able to respond very quickly, as I am busy and relatively new to Debian. I was going to recompile a kernel anyway, to get my PCMCIA Wireless card to work which I have done in the past. Just checking, but do you mean I should install the stock debian Kernel packages for the 2.4 series then boot and send you the dmesg file from /var/log?
