Using the 20040517 businesscard ISO image: http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/20040517/sarge-i386-businesscard.iso I was only able to select a mirror from the provided list. I want to be able to enter the URL of my local mirror to install from there instead. I don't see any obvious way to do this either on the system (even with debconf priority low) or in the installation manual. For now, I'm going to go back to using the netinst install (since I can switch to a local mirror easily once I'm in base config), but this means I won't get the ability to choose a kernel and will end up with a non-SMP 386 kernel. -- Jay Berkenbilt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.ql.org/q/ --------------------------------------- Received: (at 249667-done) by bugs.debian.org; 19 May 2004 17:17:20 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 19 10:17:20 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from through.apexcovantage.com (through.acv.apexcovantage.com) [65.166.131.3] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BQUgw-0006S1-00; Wed, 19 May 2004 10:17:20 -0700 Received: from apex.acv.apexcovantage.com (apex.acv.apexcovantage.com [192.168.0.1]) by through.acv.apexcovantage.com (8.12.8/8.12.8/apexcovantage-gateway-1.0) with ESMTP id i4JHHDbc007807; Wed, 19 May 2004 13:17:13 -0400 Received: from soup.acv.apexcovantage.com (soup.acv.apexcovantage.com [192.168.0.5]) by apex.acv.apexcovantage.com (8.12.8/8.12.8/ads-apexcovantage-hub-1.1.b1) with ESMTP id i4JHHBaP029986; Wed, 19 May 2004 13:17:11 -0400 Received: from soup.acv.apexcovantage.com (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by soup.acv.apexcovantage.com (8.12.11/8.12.11/Debian-5) with ESMTP id i4JHHBWn008414; Wed, 19 May 2004 13:17:11 -0400 Received: (from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) by soup.acv.apexcovantage.com (8.12.11/8.12.11/Debian-5) id i4JHHBT9008410; Wed, 19 May 2004 13:17:11 -0400 Date: Wed, 19 May 2004 13:17:11 -0400 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: Jay Berkenbilt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In-reply-to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Bug#249667: would like to install from local mirror References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Apex-MailScanner-Information: Scanned by Apex with MailScanner X-Apex-MailScanner: Found to be clean X-MailScanner-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: > The first menu entry in country mirrors selection let you enter a > custom debian mirror . . .
