tags 249786 pending thanks I ran a complete install of a base system (package selection==none) from the sarge_d-i daily buil of 20040519.
I used a manually crafted partitioning scheme with a 100MB /, 500MB /usr, 100MB /var After installing, 48MB was used in /, 78MB in /usr and 18MB in /var So, I guess that the minimum size for the root partition should be about 70MB (even this will be a bit short and make multi-kernel installation a bit tricky).
