Abort installation should unmount CD-ROM =========================================== If you select "Abort the installation and reboot" during a CD based installation, the CD-ROM is not unmounted. This means the CD can not be ejected before the reboot takes place and thus the system again boots from the CD, which may not be what you want. I don't think automatic ejection (like with "Finish the installation") is necessary, just unmounting should be enough.
Note: the unmount should be for both /cdrom and /target/media/cdrom0. 2. cdrom-checker ================ If you run "Check the CD-ROM(s) integrity" at the end of the installation procedure (just before reboot), cdrom-checker will leave the CD unmounted for /cdrom after it has run because the CD_ROM is also mounted on /target/ media/cdrom0.
