Tried again (image downloaded yesterday - MD5: 79b69a0933c084a7eb8526fd157d8f8c).
The LVM configuration dialog indeed works: I created a new volume group
with 2 logical volumes. But after quitting the LVM config tool, I restarted
the partition step in order to mount the 2 volumes: the initial progress bar
stopped at 56%... and stayed there (for more than 2 minutes).
A 'ps' on the other console showed several processes related to "partman":
I killed them, so I could revert to the install main menu. But choosing either
"Partition" or "LVM Configuration" items, the same happens: the progress bar
freezes at 50%.
I also tried to first deactivate all volume groups ("vgchange -a n") but to no
avail: same result.
Still no luck :-{
