Comments/Problems:

I am having problems getting the stable distro to install. My network card is
detected and works fine (gets a lease from DHCP, etc.). I can select a Debian mirror
with no problem. I also proceed to select "stable" for distribution type; however, I
get an error saying that the installer can't get installation files from the mirror.
However, if I select "testing" or "unstable" the installer proceeds to the disk
partitioning phase without a problem.

It would appear that "stable" installation has been disabled in the Beta 2 installer.
Is this the case, or is there an actual bug involved?

Otherwise, the Beta 2 installer is *perfect* on my machine. You guys are doing a
*fantastic* job. Keep plugging away, this installer is probably "ready for prime
time." :-D

Regards,

Kevin Griffis

I'm processing old installation reports, and have, finally, gotten to
yours. Thanks for talking the time to file an installation report.

I'm closing your installation report, after determining that:
- Some problems you reported are no longer present in current versions
  of the installer.
- You tried to do something unsupported with the Debian installer.

If you can, please try installing again using a current version of the
debian installer. I recommend the tc1 release, which you can find on our
web page, <http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/>. If you can, try
to reproduce the problems you reported using it, so we can verify that
they're all fixed. We look forward to your new installation report.
