Package: busybox-cvs-udeb
Version: 20040507-5
Severity: important

With a freshly built 2.4 kernel on alpha, built using gcc-3.3 1:3.3.3-9
and binutils 2.14.90.0.7-8, busybox insmod fails to load all modules
with this error:

insmod: Unhandled relocation of type 10 for .text

The module-init-tools insmod has no problem loading these modules.

This bug is currently important, but it would soon become RC for d-i,
because as far as I can tell the next new kernel-image package that's
uploaded for alpha will cause all attempts to load modules in the
installer to fail. There are definitely changes that need to be made
to the alpha kernels before sarge releases.

Perhaps a workaround is to also use module-init-tools-udeb on alpha for
2.4 kernels?
