Initial boot from CD worked fine. When it reached the point of detecting network hardware, I received the error "Error running 'modprobe -v aic7xxx'. I continued from this point. When it reached the configuration of the network, it got an error on DHCP configuration. No problem, I wanted to configure it manually anyway. I entered the ip address, etc. I then received the message: "An error occurred and the network configuration process has been aborted. You may retry it from the installation main menu." I tried to continue. When it reached the point of detecting hardware, it again received the message "Error while running 'modprobe aic7xxx'". At this point, it was obvious that the installer could not set up this machine, and I aborted to process. Other distributions (specifically SuSE and Fedora) have had no problems with this machine, so it is obviously something Debian related. I *DID* try getting the Sarge installer (Current); it had the same problems. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFA2zWUjeziQOokQnARAkPuAJ42CzSA7nK+/RpbLpZCIXbAldN59QCghqZT kO0J9mCFzQWYKVohP7xseic= =Vyk2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
