It does seem to have to do with non-ascii chars. If I select Greek as language, almost the whole main menu disappears on the remote console :-( If I choose Chech, lines are cut off at the first non-ascii character. (My remark on IRC was incorrect: the language on the remote is identical to the one selected on the laptop.) Any other ideas?
