Hi everybody, I wanted to try d-i with qemu but it failed to detect the network card (although I made sure that qemu had network support by using the -n switch). Selecting the "ne" module by hand doesn't help either (I tried several modules related to NE2K).
FYI, here's how I use qemu for d-i : I created a big empty file for /dev/hda (hda.bin) and uses netinst bet4 image as cdrom image. setup-net.sh just calls "ifup tun0" (which is defined in /etc/network/interfaces). The command line is the following : qemu -m 128 -hda ~/debian-cd/test-d-i/hda.bin -cdrom ~/debian-cd/sarge-i386-netinst.iso -boot d -n ~/debian-cd/test-d-i/setup-net.sh Anyone managed to install debian with d-i within qemu ? Will I have more luck with bochs ? Did someone document how to use bochs for testing d-i ?
