I notice also that some modules before were unvailable : 8139too (for my ethernet card Realtek RTL8139/810X) ide-scsi And in the saved log (syslog) I see other modules missing : ide-mod ide-probe-mod ide-prob-mod ide-detect ide-floppy ide-scsi I also found in this log packages missing : cdebconf-udeb libc6 libdebconfclient0 hw-detect kernel-image-2.6.5-1-386-di !!?? reiserfsprogs-udeb libiw27 scsi-core-modules-2.6.5-1-386-di cdrom-core-modules-2.6.5-1-386-di And the error code : Configuring 'base-installer' failed with error code 30 I try then with the kernel 2.4.25-1-386 and all works well. thanks.
