Using expert26 generates the error, always the same error. I always selected the default choices (apart location, that is Europe/Italy), so I suppose the error does not deped from different choices between normal and expert mode. Network was correctly configured with DHCP (no default route, but I do not need it because I have all the debs files in my host computer). I correctly verified the iso file integrity. I kept the vmware installation directory with the disk-file and the RAM (I suspended the machine), so I can give you all if you need (140 MB tgz file).
