Could you please try a more recent version of the installer?
We have now 20040912, which means 5 Months difference!
Also there is a RC1 out and a RC2 coming soon, which should be more robust and up to a
stable distribution.
Especially the differences between kernel 2.6.3 to 2.6.8 should remove all SATA
problems.
