Package: tasksel
Version: 2.11
Severity: wishlist

The desktop-environment task needs about 500MB to install x-windows-system, kde &
gnome. Please provide a way to install only the x-windows-sytem or choosing some kind
of desktop to be installed with it (GNOME, KDE, XFCE...).

These task should be more sane in size and won't make it hard to novice users to a
slim system. That also related on bug #264903.

I know this have some "political" issues around this, but please let the users choose
the best desktop for themselvs.

Thanks,
Lior Kaplan
