It seems that the submitter had removed discover1 but that /sbin/discover was nevertheless present (so that /etc/init.d/discover did not disable itself). This should not happen; however there have been other reports that seem to have the same scenario. See #270328, #251460, #251459. Something strange is going on. Perhaps not enough attention has been paid to the fact that there are multiple variants of discover in the archive? What happens with the user upgrades from discover1 to discover? -- Thomas Hood
