Probably quite difficult..:-) One could maybe imagine that the exim4 maintainer scripts "reassign" the existing mailbox /var/mail/mail to the user configured as root's mail recipient when this user is defined.... Or maybe asking whether such action should be done (Boolean template: "Some mails previously sent to the root user have been found.
