Well read, Denis. According to what I read in localization-config (l-c) files, it is not supposed to set XkbVariant for Finnish and certainly not to "fi". So, this may finally be a nasty bug in l-c (setting XkbVariant additionnaly to XkbLayout....which indeed means preseeding xserver-xfree86/config/inputdevice/keyboard/variant)�?�?�?or some other unrealted thing.
