I suggest you try the "netboot" image from http://people.debian.org/~aba/d-i/images/daily/ and more particularly http://people.debian.org/~aba/d-i/images/daily/netboot/mini.iso Please boot in "expert" mode and choose to install *unstable*, not testing.
