OK.
Would it be helpful if I did an Etch install then "aptitude dist-
upgrade" on as many Mac architectures as I can? I don't have any non-
Mac PowerPC machines, so I can't try the oddball kernel versions
anyway. Is there anybody else out there who does?

Is there any chance of producing an "Etch+0.5" test image for
PowerPC? I'd love to run it through my testing farm.
Technically I could, but I'm not sure that I want to.
First, it is quite a lot of work because of all the different
kernel flavors
PowerPC has.
Next, all this image really tests is that the selection of the
etchnhalf
kernel works, which has already been verified.
And finally, we currently don't plan to create an etchnhalf
installation CD
for PowerPC [1], so there's not that much point in testing one either.
Cheers,
