Package: galeon
Version: 1.3.19-3
Severity: normal
I use Straw with Gnome and Galeon. When I click on a link in Straw, a new tab
is
created for that URL in a Galeon window and that window is brought to front.
However the new tab is not focused, which is very confusing.
Experiments reveal that this is because I have the "Focus new tabs
automatically"
option unset (the name may be slightly inaccurate since I only have a Galeon
instance running in a Norwegian locale and so I only see the Norwegian
translation).
I don't think that option should be consulted in this case: clicking on a link
in
another application is not the same thing as opening a link in a new tab from
within
Galeon. In any case, it does not make sense to bring the window to front
without at
the same time focusing the tab; the only logical options are to do both or
neither.
