Subject: lprntool seems completely broken ...
X-Mailer: VM 6.87 under Emacs 20.4.1
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Package: lprntool
Version: 1.1.1-2
1-) When I try to create a queue the printcap is modified in such that the lp
field is ALWAYS (whatever kind of printer I tried to add) filled with
/dev/null. Printing is then unusable. The printcap file does not seem to
be well build at all.
2-) When I try to print a postcript test page on a hand-made printcap or a
lprngtool made one I got a Tk error. The stack trace followed :
invalid command name "result"
while executing
"result"
(procedure "print_ps_testpage" line 38)
invoked from within
"print_ps_testpage"
invoked from within
".menuf.tests.menu invoke active"
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke active]"
(procedure "tkMenuInvoke" line 29)
invoked from within
"tkMenuInvoke .menuf.tests.menu 1
"
(command bound to event)

The lprngtool package has been removed from Debian because it is
"orphaned, buggy, nearly dead upstream". See #244768 for more
information.
