Package: nautilus
Version: 2.6.1-3
When running nautilus with xfce4 the gnome-settings-daemon is not
normally started, and the icons all turn to paper (closely related to
bug 251335)
The fix is to run /usr/lib/control-center/gnome-settings-daemon from
.xsession but that program can NOT run with xfce-mcs-manager, so you
must start one or the other. I turned off xfce-mcs-manager and started
gnome-settings-daemon in my .xsession.
I don't exactly know where to file this bug, but because it manifests
as a wrong behavior in nautilus it seemed nautilus was the appropriate
place.

xfce has been removed from the archive (note we recommend you use xfce4)
and either this bug is now irrelevant, there have been no follow ups to
a reasonable request from the maintainer on this bug for a long time or
I've not seen this bug in xfce4 so I'm closing it.
If you want further justification feel free to discuss it with me.
If you can reproduce them in xfce4 please reopen and reassign to xfce4
(or better the component you think is buggy) or start a new bug.
Thanks,
Simon.
