Package: ftp
Version: 2.0.18rc1

When attempting to transfer any file greater than 1 transfer block
(20480 bytes) to my iBook running Debian Sarge from a PC also with
Debian, using the SSH2 transfer mode; I get the following messages:

25: Open /nfs/scratch/sjt/GOESA.dat
25: File handle
26: Stat /nfs/scratch/sjt/GOESA.dat
26: File attributes
28: Bad message
Received wrong response from server, disconnecting
Disconnecting from site lnxl
Could not download /nfs/scratch/sjt/GOESA.dat from lnxl

An identical transfer between x86 boxes runs as expected:

47: Open /solar7/sjt/GOESA.dat
47: File handle
48: Stat /solar7/sjt/GOESA.dat
48: File attributes
279: EOF
280: Close
280: Open Directory
280: OK
Successfully transferred /solar7/sjt/GOESA.dat at 624.42 KB/s

Transfers between the Mac and a sparc box running Solaris also fail
after 20480 bytes but without any indication of a failure.

Smaller files are transferred successfully, although they still produce
the same error message.

I suspect an endian-ness issue in gftp but I can't prove it.
