Heh :-) you overlap bzr and svn working copies :-) . I am usually doing this
with * and darcs :-). Nice to see it has become practice.

As a general note, I think it would be useful if each of the bugs closed would
have a follow-up with the patch that fixes the issue, so is easier to
track/review (without a bzr/svn working copy) each of the patches, but you might
have talked to Eduard about this.

Thanks for your work. See my comments below.

No reserves about this, just some comments.

This is one of the most wanted features, but (at a first glance), it seems to me
that your/Steve's patch touched also other code than the -l 2 stuff, although,
overall it looks fine and the changes are ok since it should improve soem things
in the code (still I am not a perl guru, I just know my way around).

I haven't seen any patch in BTS and didn't check your bzr branch, but this
should be overriddeable, especially if you want to tag. See
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=334008 and
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=369313;msg=10

(BTW, I closed the second, but it would be useful to have those "faq" tags).

Thanks should be to Gonéri Le Bouder, he created the patch.

Although we (Debian Games Team) need this feature for easier team work, this is
still
a hack. The clean way to do it, IMHO, would be add an origUrl configuration
option and
try to use that to fetch the orig tar[1] when the origDir does not contain the
orig
tarball.

[1] (should already be in orig.tar.gz format, upstream pristine packages should
not
be acceptable - in order to not create confusion)
