Severity: important
It seems catalina_<DATE>.log gets all the tomcat logging that goes to
catalina.<DATE>.log and the logging from my ROOT webapp with
swallowOutput="true", while catalina.<DATE>.log only gets the tomcat
logging. My webapp uses commons logging as a wrapper for
java.util.logging, but I'm not sure this is a factor.

The logging mechanism has been fixed in the unstable version. (But it has
other serious bugs, so you may not want to use it yet.)
