Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.14.0-1
Severity: normal

In my ~/.inputrc I have:

"\ep": history-search-backward

(The reason it's "\ep" and not "\M-p" is because of a readline 5.1 bug;
that's another story; suffice to say that "\ep" works fine in xterm,
and and gnome-terminal most of the time.)

When I start up gnome-terminal I can type Alt+P to do
history-search-backward. But often, after a while, this stops working,
and I get only "p".

In order to get this to work at all in gnome-terminal, I had to add
"alt:leftaltismeta" to my XkbOptions.

No idea, but it's good to know it's fixed. I'm closing the bug.
