Start evmsgui. With some free space available in a region, right-click on
another region, and
select "Move mapping...". The GUI hangs, unresponsive, for a while. At first
I thought this
was a permanent hang, but then I found that it just lasts for a while, say 5 to
30 seconds,
depending on the sizes of the source and target regions.
Other dialogs for specifying options to Move mapping also take several seconds
to refresh after
I change an option. evmsn, by contrast, has no delay at all when executing a
Move mapping
command.

OK, I finally got to look at this. The patch doesn't change the delay.
However, the delay isn't as long as it was before-- only about 2-3 seconds.
So I'm not very concerned about it now.
When I first observed this problem, I had just added a new 200 GB disk. Now I
have that disk about 2/3 consumed, so there's less free space to look
through, and hence the shorter delay, I guess. Since the problem is only bad
(5-30 sec. delay) in cases of _large_ amounts of free space, and I can't
reproduce it now anyway, I'm closing this bug report.
