Hi looking around more bitmap fonts i end up on
http://artwizaleczapka.sourceforge.net/ .
This seems to be only a fix and extend version of the artwiz
fonts.
As told no the artwiz set author, http://www.vastwaters.com/ ,
it does not intend to work on his set for a long time. All the
previous material where removed.
The rework done seems to add more swedish and german version
which i am not really interested in :) But better support for
fontconfig (i think this is what it talks when telling better qt3
and gtk2 support) would be great !
I end up on htis font while looking for an awkward thing in
fontconfig cache : fonts without spacing parameter. 6 of them
where from the xfonts-artwiz pack, one from xfonts-base (ClearyU) and the
last from gtk-engines-xenophilia. I have not found out by now
which of the font or fontconfig are at fault but this improved
support could really help.
This is really a post sarge issue, maybe in between the version 2
of this set will be out (full iso-8859-1 support !) , though the
work seems stalled on it by now (latest news from may 2004, but
seeing the history of it , it is not uncommon).
Regards
Alban
