Package: xmms
Version: 1:1.2.10+20061201-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
ctrl-d is supposed to switch the GUI to doublesize mode. It worked before.
But, with current versions in Etch (1:1.2.10+20061101-1) or unstable
(1:1.2.10+20061201-1), it crashes saying:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 3270 error_code 8 request_code 72 minor_code 0
Actually, the above is what I get on 2 other computers running Etch. On
my laptop running Etch with some X packages from experimental, it does not
crash but the GUI is completely rendered with crap, it takes 100% CPU and
I get the following error message:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 3071 error_code 8 request_code 72 minor_code 0
At this point, gdb gives the following backtrace:

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
