Hi,
because file times are easily changed without intention it would
be better rsnapshot directorys contained date and time of backup
as part of their names (see package faubackup -- which operates
very similar to rsnapshot -- for an example).

Hello,
This feature has been discussed multiple time on the official
Rsnapshot mailing-list. I would suggest writing some script that you
could use in the cmd_preexec or cmd_postexec configuration option to
create symlinks pointing to the different Rsnapshot intervals after
each backup runs.
This wish-list bug is almost 4 years old, and apparently is not
something the upstream is interested in including. I am closing this
wish-list bug, please do not hesitate to reopen it if you feel it was
closed in error.
Simon
