My rsnapshot.conf has multiple entries similar to the default
suggestions for LOCALHOST. After having run a succesful backup, I
removed one of the backup lines. While rsnapshot no longer rsynced that
directory, it didn't remove it from daily.0, resulting in permenant
unnecessary backup space comnsumption.
A simple calculation should be sufficient to determine which directories
will be used, and the rest should be manually pruned outside of rsync.

Hello,
As previously stated, the behavior you requested is not always
wanted, and is not something the upstream wants to include. If you
remove a backup line from your Rsnapshot configuration file, you will
need to manually remove that directory from the most recent interval,
ex. daily.0.
I am closing this wish-list bug, which is now more than 3 years old.
If you feel this bug was closed in error please do not hesitate to
reopen it.
