(CC'ing debian-i18n as other translators might not be aware of the issues
with this package)

Almost two years ago I submitted an updated spanish translation for this
package (see #397132). I consider it important, as this package is part of
the stock GNOME install in a default Debian installation.

However, for some reason my updated translation was dropped
from the debian/patches/002_i18n_update.diff patch and it has not been
available in update-notifier after it was included in the 0.42.12-3 release.
There is no mention in the changelog of the spanish translation after that
version, only generic talk about the i18n_update.diff patch (such as
"Refreshed ... to be applied cleanly"). I was not contacted when this
translation was dropped, so that I could provide an updated translation.

I guess that when the PO file changed the patch you made using my PO file did
not apply cleanly anymore. The problem with using diff files to patch PO
files is that when the PO file changes (this will happen whenever upstream
updates the messages in the POT file) the diff will not apply cleanly
anymore. 

You should instead consider using 'msgmerge' to patch the PO files and have
the po-files contributed through Debian in a debian/patches/po/ dir instead.
Otherwise I'm afraid that in the future translations will be dropped (again).
Does cdbs have support for this kind of programmatic patches?

In any case, the attached PO file updates the Spanish translation. Please use
it to update the PO file (via debian/patches/002_i18n_update.diff or however
you find it best) in this package and bring back this translation.

Finally, I'm concerned that this package is fully translated in Launchpad (to
Spanish even, by a different team). Why are translations from Launchpad not
included in upstream's packages?
