Activerecord is included in rails, but it can also be used as a standalone
library[1]. It would be interesting to provide another binary package
(libactiverecord-ruby?) for people that simply want to use activerecord
and aren't interested in rails at all.

There is already a separated activerecord package in Debian, so I am
closing this bug report. Please feel free to re-open it if you feel that
it was not addressed correctly.
