Package: procps
Version: 1:3.2.5-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
recently, the netbase package has begun to complain if the deprecated
file /etc/network/options is still being used. The suggested migration
way is to use /etc/sysctl.conf with appropriate entries.
The /e/n/o option "spoofprotect" echos 1 into
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/*/rp_filter, which prompts a sysctl.conf entry
of net/ipv4/conf/*/rp_filter=1.
sysctl.conf doesn't grok this and complains about an invalid key.
To ease the transition from /e/n/o to sysctl.conf, sysctl should be
able to expand the wildcard.
Greetings
Marc

Depending on what you are trying to do, you should be using the all or
default keys within sysctl. netbase may of done something different but
that's not how the /proc/sys is setup.
