Package: kernel-package
Version: 9.005
Severity: minor

Not sure if this is a policy issue or not. If debian is moving to an new naming
convention for kernels, it would be nice to have our custom kernels match.

The kernel team has moved to using a new naming
convention. kernel-package allows either naming convention, but has
not yet moved to default. This is not a bug. Changing the name at
this point is likely to break the expectation of a large number of
users in the installed base, and break scripts (it would for me, for
 one).

At some point of time it may be appropriate to change the
 default naming convention.
