Package: gtkpod
Version: 0.99.14-3
Severity: normal
it just crashes when i try to import mp3 files from my ipod to my local
HDD. It also happens with the rest of versions of gtkpod AND
libgpod in the debian repositories.
I have been looking for a solution, and found this related, but no solution yet:
http://forum.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=30422
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtkpod/+bug/519068
first i tried to import the full collection (~12K files). it crased.
thinking that copying eg. ~50 files at a time would work, i tried it. two
times ok. the next, crashed. i restarted gtkpod, tried to do it another
time, and... first time ok, next time crashed.
also may be important: gtkpod crashes, but the files are well copied (until it
crashes).
I have seen that when it chrashes, it prints an error on the term:
**gtkpod: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
if it minds: i have an ipod classig 6G (160Gb)
