I don't remember if this happened last time I upgraded fontconfig
package, but it seems that recently my Nimbus Sans L fonts got narrower
(condensed, you shall say, as I found out googling).
This happens only in KDE, because in GTK applications (having specified
gtk-font-name = "Nimbus Sans L 12" in .gtkrc and .gtkrc-2.0) the font
looks as usual.
