Package: lirc
Version: 0.7.1pre1-2
Severity: normal

I am using Enlightenment 16 with X.org.

Section of ~/.lircrc:

begin
        prog = irxevent
        button = power
        config = Key n Xpdf
end

$ xwininfo
xwininfo: Window id: 0x2600064 "Xpdf: [...]"

$ irxevent
Recieved code: 0000000018e738c7 00 power /etc/lirc/lircd.conf
 Sending event:
name: Xpdf
found it by wname 0x2600059
keyname: n       WindowID: 0x2600059
Key n Xpdf
state 0x0, keycode 0x2e

as you can see, the real id of xpdf window is 64, but irxevent thinks it is 59
... so that the event is not send to xpdf ( maybe to an other window, but not
xpdf). If in lircrc I provide in hard the window ID, all vork weel.

I am not sure if the bug is due to X libs, Xorg, or E16 ... maybe the combo is
not good ...

by the mean time you fix this, could you email me any other way to send events
from Lirc to xpdf ? I have a presentation soon, and I d like to switch slides
with the remote. 'xpdf -fullscreen -remote plop pres.pdf <page num>' is a bit
difficult to implement. ( that will be the rescue solution. Thanx for help.

Hi there!

I just uploaded a new version of lirc that fixes #328697.
I think the bug you are reporting is intimately related to it, so it
should be fixed in this upload too. irxevent has been heavily patched.

I would be happy if you could test this. If it is not fixed, please feel
free to reopen this bug, or ask me to do it for you.
