Package: qmail-src
Version: unavailable
Severity: wishlist

Hi,
I've seen that many packages Depends: qmail but it is obviously not possible
out-of-the-box because qmail needs to be built, anyhow it could be okay to do as
follows:

* ask with a debconf question if the user wants to build qmail now (default: yes
so autobuilders with debconf non-interactive frontend will build it)
* qmail-src Provides: qmail so if ones tries to install qmail qmail-src will be
actually installed and qmail built

please note these are my thoughts about qmail-on-debian which has been always a
pain to me to install like any other package not to build from source.

kind regards,
filippo
