A new standard is currently under proposal to enhance ISO 639 standards and
include "all known human languages".

SIL International has been designated as the ISO 639-3/RA and is currently
working on a standard draft.

There is probably no urgency yet to include ISO 639-3 codes in the
iso_639.xml file we use, but this should be kept in mind for further
reference when this will become a standard.
