Package: policykit-1
Version: 0.105-6
Severity: important
Please provide a non-systemd infested alternative. I'm not a systemd
believer, yet.
Attempting to remove this "Priority: optional" package removes some 316
packages, rendering my system (see bug#750909) hardly usable.
The breakage was introduced with this version:
policykit-1 (0.105-5) unstable; urgency=medium
* Team upload.
* Enable systemd support on linux architectures
* debian/control: Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.5 (no further changes)
* debian/control: Use canonical VCS-* URL's

As already explained, policykit requires a way to track user sessions.
It was previously using ConsoleKit and it is now using logind (included
in systemd) to achieve this as CK is not really maintained anymore and
logind is more robust on several points (multi-seat) and coming for free
with systemd.
More and more components in the desktop/system are switching from
ConsoleKit to logind, it makes no sense to keep two different
incompatible systems and risk integration issues just for the fun of it.
Closing this bugreport.
