My Huawei E3272 (12d1:1f01) does not get switched after plugging.
I noticed that several rules for different Huawei devices present in
/lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules were replaced by one rule.
This change was made in usb-modeswitch-data 20140529-1.

Inserting this line:

# Huawei E353 (3.se) and others
ATTR{idVendor}=="12d1", ATTR{idProduct}=="1f01", RUN+="usb_modeswitch '%b/%k'"

from old 40-usb_modeswitch.rules (ver. 20140327-1) to new
40-usb_modeswitch.rules before the new generic rule for Huawei devices fixes
the problem.
The generic Huawei rule don't work with my modem.

Hi all,

I've had the opportunity to get my hands on a Huawei 12d1:* device
yesterday at DebConf and could then test both once-booted and during-
boot plugs. It worked the two times.

I'm therefore hereby closing this bug, which I suspect got fixed by the
TMPDIR fix in jimtcl (see #751271). Don't hesitate to re-open it if you
still can't get your Huawei device switched.

Thanks to all, cheers,

OdyX
