is this package not for amd64? If so, can you please add it to
Packages-arch-specific? Otherwise, would it be possible to fix it?
It actually prevents octave-gpc from building.

A new version of octave-gpc (0.1.6-1) has been uploaded that should fix
this problem.
I am closing this bug report, because you apparently suceeded building the
gpcl package on your amd64 system. Feel free to open it again if it is
not the case.
