After a reboot I found Mariadb stopped with the following logs:

So it seems it took a bit more time than expected and was then
considered a failure. Problem is the systemd status is wrong, so it can
impact starting up other services.
I guess the solution would be to implement the systemd service
configuration, but in the meanwhile you could consider increasing a bit
the timeout.
